The Scoop on the Coop
Not too long ago the Heath family had no need of a chicken coop, duck house, lamb space, bee gear, or circus tent.

I’ve bellyached about February for years, so imagine my surprise when I was telling my husband about all the plans I have for February this year and how very much I am looking forward to this dreadful month! Last year I rather unintentionally took a blogging break, I was just so busy doing stuff that […]Read Post ›
While I think I am consuming words, I am actually being consumed.
Most of these toys have been in our home for the past 3 years and are still going strong. These are the sorts of toys I plan on keeping forever, long after my kids have outgrown them, at the ready for when friends stop by with young kids and eventually for the grandkids. Developmentally my kids play at a five-year-old or younger stage, I expect this list will change a bit as they grow older.
I have 3 girls ranging from 2 to 9 who all want to be independent. Roman isn’t at the point of caring about doing things on his own, though I do think he intentionally lifts his feet up to help when I’m putting his socks and shoes on. I WANT my kids to be independent, […]Read Post ›

When we got the call telling us our travel dates, Angelina’s room was not ready – not by a long shot. Remember, that was the same day Kitty broke out in hand foot and mouth blisters and the rest of the family soon followed. After I made the list of everything that HAD to be […]Read Post ›
I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s worth saying again: I do not like February in Wisconsin. So dreary. In February we are all desperately in need of fresh air, warm breezes, sunlight, and green things growing. This February was a month of refreshing the home. Remind me next year and I should do this every […]Read Post ›
